Description

The mother of the blessed Teofilius Matulionis rests in the Alanta parish cemetery. Seven-year happy family life suffered from pain on 9 May 1877. Teofilius Matulionis always remembered that a small packet of the dead newborn laid beside his mother’s coffin. The great challenge fell to the husband Jurgis, who was left with three children without his beloved wife Anna Juočepytė Matulionienė at the age of 26.
