Description

The square was rearranged in 2016: the pavement was renewed, lighting, a fountain, and recreational areas were installed. During the same year, a valuable find was discovered during the reconstruction of the square. Massive fragments of the Cathedral churchyard gate buried underground were found. When Teofilius Matulionis was declared blessed, the Kaisiadorys District Municipality gave the square the name of the Blessed Teofilius. A year later, in order to ensure the safety of benches, fountains, lighting poles, plants and visitors, Kaisiadorys District Municipality installed video surveillance in this square.
