Description
Amicus optima vitae possesio – a Friend is the greatest asset in life. Two best friends, the Archbishop Teofilius Matulionis and the priest Augustinas Pronskietis (Šeduva circa 1960), both went through prisons and forced labour camps, but radiate joy and inner youth as they sacrificed in the name of faith in Jesus Christ. St. The Church of the Discovery of St. Cross and the Stations of the Cross located therein, which the Bishop often prayerfully contemplated. Next to the church, there is a cottage, where the bishop lived from October 1958 to August 1962, and where he died. In the churchyard, there is a grave of Augustinas Pranckietis, a friend of the archbishop and a witness of the consecration of the bishop.
