Description

The “Museum of the Blessed Teofilius Matulionis” was officially opened in Alanta Manor on 16 February 2019. It became a branch of the Molėtai Regional Museum. A significant part of the museum exhibits was received as gifts from Latvia Varaklian and Bikava parishes, where priest T. Matulionis served at the beginning of the 20th century: 15 stamps with Cyrillic inscriptions, obsolete liturgical vessels, silver candlesticks, bells, clothes, and antependium of Latvian weaving. On the walls of the new museum, there are 30 magnified photographs of good quality, some of them are 3 meters in size.
