Description

St. Antanas Paduvietis Church. In the rectory where Bishop Teofilius lived from 1956 until October 1958, the museum is open. On Christmas night, Vincentas Sladkevicius was secretly consecrated as a bishop. Bishop Matulionis took over the management of the diocese in Birštonas on 14 November 1957. The museum was founded in 2000. There is a bell in the church tower called “To implore for Teofilius Matulionis altar honour”. The museum exhibits the life of the blessed Teofilius Matulionis, his personal belongings, and museum specialists give lectures on Teofilius Matulionis.
